Many of you know, but many more don't, that Machine09 (Matt) is leaving for Navy Boot in just a few short days.

Went deep sea fishing (not a great fishing day) with this soft spoken, incredible nice, respectable young man. I can only say that he is a credit to his parents who, in my humble opinion, did a great job raising him.

We had a little going away gift for him last weekend at the poker game. I still wish we had taken a picture of his smiling, grateful face. He has worked hard to pass the tests (Crypto..one of ratings requiring the most intelligence, and worked his asse off losing the weight that was required to get into boot! (Good going Matt!)Thumbsup

I think any young man or women who voluntarily signs up for the military, with the world in it's current state of turmoil, deserves our gratitude, respect, and well wishes for their courage and devotion to God and country!

Matt I can personally say that I have enjoyed your company when we went deep sea fishing (the wife and I still remember and talk about you standing in the driveway looking like a zombie when we finally got back, and topher can vouch for that!) and when you showed for the poker games.

I cant thank you guys enough, especially you toad, for the great gifts, I could not have asked for a nicer group of people to share fishing outings and the infamous "Toad poker" with... THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH


as of this morning i passed my physical so im good to ship. ill br flying out to chicago on the 13th and will be there 8 weeks for boot. after that I am going to be stationed in Pensacola FL for 4 years for A school.

I will be sure to have mom post up my address for any of you who want to write.

once again, thank you all very much for being such a great group. I have had many great times with alot of people and made alot of new friends.
