Dangerous Day on LIS

It could have been a very dangerous day for some of our fellow anglers who fish regularly on Long Island Sound. Today I while surfing CTF I came across a post concerning a possible water spout. At first I thought it was some kinda of Joke but it wasn't. Noaa had issued several emergency broadcast warning mariners to seek shelter in harbors as this line of storms passed.

I also saw that on CTF and saw the NWS warning about it.Yikes

I beleave its a spout of water shooting up. I think thats what sledneck was sayin once on the way back from fishin, i was half a sleep though.

nope, I was talking about another phenomenon, never seen a water spout before...its a tornado on the water is all.

Saw quite a few of these when I was in the Coast Guard. Most of them we saw down around the Islands and Cuba.

It's a twister over the water.
