it is once again time for the Missus and I to make our annual pilgrimage down to the Indians in Connecticut for our annual charitible contribution.

Have been going down to the Mohegan Sun the last 4 years. Haven't been to visit the Pequots for the same amount of time.

Which casino do you guys think is best and why?

Also which tribe is more deserving of my charity? Mohegans or Pequots?

Mohegan Sun is my favorite, more of a party atmosphere :)

foxwoods for gaming and Mohegan for sight seeing.

Mohegan has a very confusing layout its easy to get lost and lose people in there. everything looks the same. a plus with Mohegan is you can get Grandfathered in at tables. if your there and its a 5 dollar table that's what it will stay for you even if the min. bet goes up, its not like that at the woods.

Foxwoods has a very nice poker room. Mohegan's was shut down a few years ago cause there was and alleged prostitution ring being run. (could be a plus with someYikes) im not sure if there is a new poker room somebody can probably confirm if there is. But as yote mentioned before i agree, don't sit down in a game you'll get eaten alive! plus there's no smoking in the poker room.

if you wanna have a nice lunch and or dinner go to the Veranda in foxwoods, its downstairs. they serve breakfast 24-7 nothing like steak and eggs at 3 a.m. after a 10 hour poker session. alot of people don't know about it so there's never a wait unlike the Buffet. expect to be in line for a half hour at least.

they both have all the newest slots. penny slots can be fun plus you don't lose your shirt.

In closing i believe foxwods is the better bet. hope this helps you

Mohegan gets our money these days.The rooms are much better . I have quite a few points down there and business is so bad they offer to comp me rooms even on weekends now. And its so slow I can call on a friday afternoon and get a room for friday nite for free. The times have changed big time for them in the last year.Bash1
