I have this 1968, paper back, edition of the "Professional Fly Tying and Tackle Making Manual and Manufacturers Guide" by none other that the colorful outdoorsman, George Leonard Herter. In case you didn't know, George was the founder of Herter's, Inc., which eventually sold out to Cabelas. Some of you may be familiar with their huge, fully illustrated, sporting goods catalogs from the 50's thru the early 80's.
I used this manual quite a bit in my earlier years, to tie flies and learn a bit about entomology. Those were my trout fishing years, from my early teens through my early 20's. This manual, although paperback, is in decent condition for it's age. The back cover is loose, but all 433 pages are intact, in the original binding. The in-depth, instructional detail in this book is just plain incredible and has to be seen to be truly appreciated. A true nostalgic taste of years gone by.
Getting on in years, I have no further interest in fly fishing or fly tying, so I've decided to offer this book to those of you who are or may still be. If interested, PM me with an offer. Here are a few pictures of this collectable:

Edited Note: Please do PM me and ask what I want for it! Make me an offer....either in cash or tackle. Thank you.
