Despite what you may or may not believe in or support, anyone who puts themself in harm's way to secure the safety of his fellow soldiers is a Hero in my book.

A true hero in Britain and beyond, it's a frickin shame. Nerves of steel. You would almost think they could detonate them from a distance or something but apparently not with all of them.

............ You would almost think they could detonate them from a distance ...................

I agree. Does anyone know why they aren't blown up, rather than trying to defuse them?

Very depressing story. Hated reading it.

Procedure, thats their job to try and diffuse it rather than blow it up from a distance. This has to be the top 3 worst jobs in the world.

I agree, guys this solider took his orders and marched on. His family is destavated by his loss, along with his fellow soliders. Not much more to say except "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE DEDICATION, HONOR, AND FOR PUTTING YOURSELF IN HARMS WAY, and THANK YOU FOR KEEPING ME AND MY FAMILY SAFE FROM THESE SCUMBAGS".

Please rest peacefully
