Guys and Gals I need some honest feedback. I have been thinking hard about the main part of the site (maanglers.com). I honestly dont have the time to work on that right now. It really upsets me as I think it would be a nice feature to have but I think the forums are the main focus point of the site. So instead of developing the other part of the site right now I think I can work on the forums and photo gallery getting them really good. I wish I had the time to work on the other part of the site but with all this school work lately and sports I just feel bogged down. I also want to enjoy some things and would rather be out fishing and then simply posting my reports compared to working to updating all the information such as tides. What I can do since most of the Information that I was going to put up is all typed up on my computer and saved, I can put that information (tackle shop listings, charters and guides, marinas etc) up and sticky them to their appropriate forum on the site. Then I can change the url for the forums which are now maanglers.com/forums to maanglers.com which will be easier. Eventually if things go as planned when school gets out for the summer I can pursue developing another part of the site. There are plenty of other sites out there with tide information so it just doesnt seem necessary right now to put that type of info up. I hope this isnt disapointing to anyone of our members. The main focus of maanglers.com should be on building a fishing community and having a realm of fishing reports and information. This can only be done through the use of these forums which is the key factor in the success or failure of this site. Thanks for being loyal members of this site and keep up the good work telling people about it.

Sincerely,
Jason W. (bpapi)

the most important thing for you to think about is school. Your only walking that road once and there aren't any return trips.

Your doing just fine on the site and yes, the forums are the most important thing that folks are looking for. The other information is secondary.:D

I agree with "Toad". School and your life should come first. You have the most important part of the website out of the way. It is functional and flawless as it stands now! Anything you add is going to be a bonus but can be done at a later time. Keep having fun in school, sports and other activities that you can freely do at this time. I graduated 6 years ago and the last 6 years have flown by. School is a one time deal...enjoy it to the fullest!!!!:o

Thanks for the responses. I strongly think that the forums are the most important part of the site and everything else is just an added bonus like tacoma said. If you look at other fishing site ctfisherman.com for example it is forum based and it has had tremendous success. People will want to come and join MAanglers.com to be able to be a part of a fishing community where you can share reports and other gossip. They wont really be coming to check the tidal info as that information is readily available on many other sites.

Keep up the good work, although fishing IS the most important thing, you do what you gotta do, we will be patient, and it will all come together quite nicely. You are too young to stress out over this stuff, all in good time grasshopper:D
