Well, after only seven short months of waiting Eyeball Roller Laughing1 - Smith & Wesson completed my gun and shipped it off to BassPro Shops. I picked it up last Thursday. Haven't have a chance to shoot it yet, but here's a few photos. Very nice gun, especially for being "just a .22". Can't wait to shoot it. Oh, and as a bonus, the gun now sells for $30 less than what I paid for it - so, I picked up the gun AND a $30 BassPro gift card!Thumbsup

I was very interested in this particular model because I own a Marlin bolt action .22 rifle and a Knight 50 caliber muzzleloader - both with the birch laminated stocks. This is now my third firearm with that same style stock.

Very cool Agree1 Its cool to have a general theme to your sporting taste. The birch finish is nice Agree1 SG are you hunting CT or just MA?

Hunting in MA and also some in NY this year if I can pull it off between coaching my daughters basketball team! How about yourself?

How do you manage getting your deer back to MA from NY with their Regs??

Ah. Great question Fishhawk. Getting the deer back from NY is a pain in the rear-end for sure. Especially seeing as the spot I hunt is about 6 hours from my home. I am lucky enough to hunt with someone who goes out there so regularly that if I get something, we have it butchered in NY, and he'll pick up the meat for me on one of his future trips back-n-forth. As long as the meat is processed, you can bring it into MA.

It's about time they got it to you I thought maybe they forgot about your order. That ought to be a lot of fun for plinking. Plus it's cheap to shoot
