Just got a new boat htis weekend it is a 17' boston whaler montauk witha 70 horsepower johnson. The engine runs great and its good to go out but i was wondering what type of depth finder i should get. My grandpa has a Raymarine and i know my friends have lowrance. ANy suggestions? low price rangeNotsure

Congrats on the new boat.
Raymarine, Lowrance, Eagle Those are the ones I would use.
Get the best you can afford.

nice ship, you'll have fun, hope you do salt, had lowrance and love my hummingbird, there's alot of good sounders out there. they can be charters, gps, etc. money

ok thanks for the input, web ill check it out, in no rush not gonna be in till next year wiring has to be done...

i have an Eagle fishmark 320, it works awsome, and it's under $200!

Yes i am thinking eagle, Jay i like them too stable as can be and the best part is they cant sink which may come in handy...

haha, yes me and my dad have had a lot fof boats and its true evrything costs money. Getting it to the water, from the water home, the gas on the boat, oil, bateries and fixing problems. We were expecting this we only bought it for $2500. We are gonna keep it on a trailer in the driveway and put a sign on the garage, "Marina-gas dock 2 miles" thank you guys for all the inpt on the fish and depthfiniders.
