What do you do with it now? Won't it spray you if you get too close?

When we catch them, we just put a bag or tarp over it, carry it way out back, open the door and once it got out we'd shoot it.

They come and eat our chickens on a daily basis.

Sometimes though, you can pick the cage right up and they wont spray. You would be surprised how much it takes for em to spray. We have yet to have one spray on us and we have caught around 30 over the last few years.

i also "heard" that they cant spray unless they can fully lift thier tail upright, my buddy catchs them and takes them in the trap, in the backseat of his jeep, and releases them up at mt tom. he has never gotten sprayed

That makes sense. They probably don't want to spray themselves.

Capt. Shay, what do you have in the garden back there? I've been working as a gardener off and on since last fall, and I'm really starting to get into it.

Yeah we have some babies and quite a few bantams and the skunks would eat them.

i used to have skunks walk a foot away from me many a night by the fire at my camp in NH and i never once got sprayed, thank the lord for that lol
