Notsure If an outboard is missing part of it's skeg is it possible that additional material can be welded on to provide the same characteristics as the original skeg? Question1 Material is aluminum.
Approximately how much would this cost?Question1
Is there anyone on here that does that kind of work?Question1

I weld alot at work Toad...and I will tell you now that aluminum not only sucks to weld but it is pretty challenging! Even really thick aluminum sucks to weld...so if this is a thin piece, good luck!

i don't think it's aluminum, if that scares you at all, get one of these for $100, heck, i may even work that much out of the price for you.

Toad-I can get that taken care of for you.I just need the motor or lower unit (if you are putting a water pump in)for a while. E mail me a picture first if it more than 1/4 gone. Chris

Typical cost for a skeg repair is $125.
