What do you think about people fishing at the boat ramps?, even though there are signs saying "no fishing from the boat ramp" they still do, the reason i bring this up, my wife and i were fishing at Hampden ponds today and there were a few people fishing from the launch, i think it's a bit of a pain when you try and launch or load your boat. it's funny, the lake was very busy today, there was about 15 or 16 boats loading and unloading, yet they never moved, and had line and bobbers right off the ramp. they did move later by the time i came in, but people really need to obey them signs....Smashhead

I always thought that those guys were being nice, and using their bobbers as channel markers for bringing my boat to shore. Just motor between them.

it sucks when you have to worry about the confrontations with those people, especially when you have family or young ones with you, i guess the best way is to try to get the law to check these public launches or, just move the sh-t pile and the flies will follow.

it sucks, i really didn't want to say anything to them, they did have a little kid, but i mean it's clearly posted right at the ramp, "no fishing", but after about the 3rd or 4th boat came in, i think they got the point.

I thought that issued has been resolved up there. Thats one of the reasons why I just go pass Hampton Ponds and fish various other bodies of water.

Usually at most launches people who are fishing will move if they are close to the ramp, but there it has been a constant problem even with the new program they came up with. Maybe next time on the way out just tell the guys working at the little guard shack where you pay the fee and register for the day. I'm sure they may make an attempt to resolve the issue.

I boat up at the ponds all the time and even when i'm cruisin by and I see them fishing, I give the Westfield cops a buzz and their more that happy to come over and move them along.

Please keep it clean or I'll have to sweep it under the rug. Thank you
