2 day tourny 6am saturday-4pm sunday. im thinking the weekend of july 11,12. fish anywhere you wish on the river, i can be stationed somewhere on the river with my scale and you can come to me to weigh it in--oxbow?!?! $10 each and will meet up on saturday morning exchange $ at 6:00 am and fish your spots!! Anyone who can't make 6:00am can always swing bye and see me anytime to register for tourny before fishing! Im thinking half the pot goes to biggest common carp, and half the pot goes to biggest mirror carp. post your thoughts and if your interested in doing something like this!!Fishing1

A whole weekend is a lot of commitment for a lot of people. Only so many carp fishers out there. Also, if some one pre-baited then you might as well hand your money to them.

I would love to get together for a tourney but think we should try to do it in the format we have done it in the past. Every one has a fair chance at things when you draw for your pegs. Also, I liked being able to put the rod down and catch up with folks, some of whom I only see once or twice a year.

If it were to be held in the NoHo area I would defiantly help pre-bait as that is only about a half hour from my house.

I think one like last year would be fun.

It's definitely time to put something on. I'm a little scrambled with my schedule for a bit but I'm not sure what date I can do. Maybe a later June or early July will do. Last year was a great turnout and I believe the spawn kept the amount of catches down so thats why it maybe better to wait a couple weeks. Now as far as carp fishing goes, the crack of dawn usually works best for a start so if guys are willing to fish earlier then the norm then we might be more productive. The two most important things is location then pre-baiting. The spot last year was perfect but if other spots can accomidate enough carpers then lets go with the flow. Baiting up is the main key to a successfull fish-in, Scott and I did some massive baiting for our last session and we had really good numbers.

Anyways if anyone has some ideas please feel free to speak up. I'll take a look online for CT river spots to fish since I dont live near by. Peace!

Finding a spot like that will be tough. We need a few hundred yards along the river, where everyone has room to fish.
