Recently I tried to upload a photo of some Quabbin smallies. It said the file was too big. I had reduced it in photo shop.
What is the approved way of uploading a photo. MJEFFThanks1

Yup, a common problem. I too suffered from cantuploadphotoitus when I joined this site.Cry1
Crestliner (MaAngler senior member) was kind and patient enough to me to illustrate how to do it.
Start off by joining Photobucket.com. It's free and the best way/place to store your images. After that, the following text is directly from Crestliner's instructions to me. It's worked perfectly for me ever since. Good luck.
O.K....once your photos are uploaded to Photobucket and this site is open to your album, open up MaAnglers in a second window. Start your post. When you get to the point where you want to add a picture, go to the Photobucket window.
Under each of your pictures you will see 4 URL options. The one you want is the 2nd. one down, "Direct Link". Left click on the actual address one time and then right click to get to the copy option. Click copy and go back to your MaAnglers post...
Put your cursor where you want the picture to appear. Look at the tool bar icons at the top of your post window. Toward the right you will see a yellow square with a mountain. Click on this and it will ask you for the URL of your picture. Put your cusor in the blank area, to the right of http:// and right click your mouse. Click on paste. Then OK.
Presto, your picture appears in your post. Hit the enter key to continue typing under the picture. If you have a problem with sizing at this point, go back to the Photobucket window and click on edit at the top of your picture.
