Is there any way to make a viewer have to join in order to read our forums???(e.g. you have to become a memeber at NEF in order to view forums) this might entice some of the lurkers to actually join and contribute to the site rather than sponging it up and not giving anything.

Dose it really matter if your a member or not.We have over 3 hundered members now and still only a hand full that will post.Ithink if your a member that dosen't post or put in a replie of some sort after 30 days should get the boot. Reason being there only here for the free info.LET THEM GO BUY OUTDOOR LIFE. My 2 cents.PS on the down side we would only have a hand full of members but if there only sucking up info who cares.

I'm always more than willing to help out either someone new or who has been a member since the beginning to catch a fish. This kinda stuff happens on these types of boards all the time. But for being a relatively new site I think we are off to a excellant start with some very knowledge members on various species of fish and tactics.
Although not all members post as much, I've seen some new names lately that have been posting reports. Keep it up, and keep sharing your experiences on the water or the outdoors.
Its definatly true. We do have members that dont post that much but they do come on. One day when I stayed home i watched all the different names that came on during the day and was actually surprised. I thought it was only about 20 or so members that post and visit all the time but actually we have many different members coming back on each day. Like fisher said it takes a lot of time. Im going to see if there is a fishing club up at school and if there isnt i will try to start one. if there is im sure i could get everyone of them to join. 25,000 kids im sure we can get a few hundred to join. Im going to be contacting some other fishing forum owners to see if they want to have a contest between the 2 sites.
