Site Feedback

Every so often I try to ask what feedback members have about the site so it can be better improved. Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated so things can be fixed or added to give a be more user friendly and helpful. Navigation, links, looking for more helpful pages etc please respond and Ill try to do my best to resolve these issues. Some suggestions in the past we had is too ad a part on this site where members can view other members profiles and members can put their cell #'s etc there so it will be easier to contact others if they want to fish together or what not. Ive also had suggestions to add more links which is easy to do but still it improves the user experience here. So if anyone has any questions comments or concerns please respond in this thread or you can respond to me via pm. Thankyou Thumbsup

Jay, I liked when the Photo Gallery was at the bottom of the message board...It just made it easier to post pics... Also I have a deam boat that I can't afford and I think you should buy it and give it away to the member who caught the biggest shark on August 12th 2006 Laughing1 . Just my 2 cents....

Maybe the topics could be condensed somewhat:

Announcements--to be used mostly by the moderators

Fresh Water--Sub topics; Fishing Reports---Questions/Discussions---Tournaments---Partner Up---(maybe west-central-east subtopics)

Salt Water--Sub topics; the same as Fresh water

Site Activities--used for planning future get togethers of any sort

Non Angling--Sub Topics; Buy/sell/trade-- Boating-- Hunting-- General--
Other sports/humor/recipies--Site Questions

Fishstory, I can change it but I made the homepage with all the links so I thought that was easier but I will switch it back if need be. Thanks o and about your boat well cant help you there lol. Ill give you a tip though you can go to a marina and steal one lol.

Gill, the announcements should be only mods and admin I never got around to changing that. I will change it shortly to allow for that purpose. I was thinking about doing east and west subtopics when i first set the site up but we still are greatly outnumbered for western mass compared to eastern mass so the eastern mass part would look bare. It is something to do once we get more members and ill make sure to write that down, I like the site activites and will add that and some other things you said. Thanks i apreciate your time to give your honest opinion.

Jay so far so good from my aspects and I have had many people say to me that this is a good site. Keep up the good work, and thanks this was something that should have been done years ago. Like I've said before if you build it they will come. It can only get better from here.

Is there a way to have the date show of when a particular thread was started? Right now it shows who started the thread, and the last respondent with the date, but the date the thread was started doesn't show.Notsure

Toad there may be. Theres so much things I can modify with the vbulletin software itself that its almost mind boggling. I can search around the internet and see if I can find something on that. Thanks

Jay since this your site I would be willing to talk about this offline to figure out how we can go about arranging details for purchase ect. I want to help this site continue to grow, and move in the right direction. I'm not about to take any money from anyone for myself it will be donated to the site or for trophies for Gatherings, or what ever else is needed.

I appreciate all the comments I had a bunch of other designs that I made, and deleted over the last few weeks and this one kinda fit this site's personality. I would also custom make them. I know certain members like to fish for a specific specie. If you ask and I'll change a fish for you on the design.

I looked into screen printing and that cost some big $$$.$$ but I found another way. Give me a week or so to complete it and I'll post a new shirt in a thread to see how it looks.

Hats off to all you posting members as well, you all seem to be a great group of guys and I am looking foreward to fishing with you all, hopefully at the next outing.

Here's the latest version: The line on the side won't be there its scan issue that didn't show up with my original pic. I just made a Shirt on Cafe press design to see how they would come out, and purchased one. Please wait till I recieve one and check it out before ordering. I don't want to see anyone get upset if its not a good quality ect. Just hold on for a couple of more days, and we will have something up on the site.

the thing is with that the logo is a little small for the one in the middle so it might be hard to read. bigger letters like before makes it easier for people tp read at a distance. just my 2cents. anyways sweet job there fisher.

I have one being made up now and I was concerned about the logo in the middle being to small. Once I get it back I'll post a couple of pic's of it and we can go from there.

Well it took longer than I expected but I finally recieved the shirt in the mail and I am happy with it. I took a couple of photo's that I'll post in a little after I upload them.

So what do you guys/girls think? Do you like the shirt design? If you do I try and get someone to change the design on Cafepress and you'll be able to order them.


Keep in mind that the front design can be changed to suit your fishing/hunting style. If you'd like a different fish on the front than just ask and tell us what you like and we will set it up for you.
