really good or do they run out of energy real quick? I would think that a humongus bass may not be all that in a fight! Take this 18.2 pounder, he looks to fat to swim!

The biggest bass I ever caught 8 lb+ didn't fight as hard as most 5 lber's I've caught. But I think it had more to do with the fact it was full of eggs.

BigBear, I'm going to disney this winter, and they have that lake on the grounds that is catch and release only, and you have to go with a guide, I hear you can catch 10-12 pounders all day!!!
My personal best was 8lbs 4 ounces, 1984 at a private golf course pond and a zebco scale " the little ones withthe spring and little hole for 1 finger" don't know how accurate they actually were, but the bass was a big one! I got a birds nest in my line and actually pulled it in! The owner of the club was goingto have it mounted for me and his cook feed it to the cats...
I've lost bigger at the quarries, because those bass head for the timber, instantly!
Whats yours?

Fish story, true there are big bass at the disney lakes but 12-14" er's are more the norm, They do celebrity bass tourneys there and maybe you see 1 or 2 fish caught over 6. I have seen a few over 8 under docks at Blizzard beach. Also, last time I checked, the guide boats were all pontoon boats that stay out in deep water most of the time, hope you catch a 10

Yote, after catching smallies with fisher a few weeks ago, I half to agree with you! There fight awesome, I'm willing to bet a 3 pound smallie fights like a 6 pound large!
gary years ago I was at disney and saw huge bass under the docks also, the pontoon in deep doesn't sound like much fun, but we will see whats happens! Theres alway the midnight dock missions Tongue1
