New member to the boards. I live in Athol and fished this lake quite a bit over the last year. I just started Bass fishing this past summer. I moved to Mass from PA 2 yrs ago. Have lived in Athol for a little over a year now. Caught quite a few Largemouth over the summer. Nothing over 2 lbs so far but I've heard from locals there are some big fish in the Lake. Looking forward to next spring for the spawn. Also caught quite a few nice size Crappies. A few 10 and 11 inchers.

There is a boat ramp and parking, any boats are allowed. I think max depth is only 10 or 11 ft. Averagage is about 5-6. Lots of weeds.

You name the time. It's a 5 minute drive for me. Temps are going to be in 40s over the weekend so I'll be out there Sunday. Grinning1

A blast from the past! Fished this lake several times years ago. It's a very shallow lake with little open water free from heavy weeds. Also, only a small section with depths to 15' at most. Reportedly has northern pike & tigers, but I've never actually spoken to anyone, or read any reports on anyone, being successful there.

Question1
any shore access?

There is quite a bit of shore access on the North End where the Boat Access is. There's a beach area with access all around it. If you use google map and look at the satellite view you can get a decent idea. Pretty decent fishing too. I caught quite a few LM from shore over the summer before I got my boat.
