Well I would like to stay optamistic, but when your pitching gives up 39 runs in three games it doesn't look good!!! Sox need to get rid of alot of these knuclehead pitchers......Gosh where do I start....Timlin, Taveras ect... Swear1
At least we have the Pats season to look forward to, the worst part is the Yankee fans, many of my friends are Yankee fans and they've been saying since April, talk to us in the middle of August when your down by 6 games to us!!!! Are the Sox that predictable???? Cry1

that the sox are a terrible post-all star game franchise. They always seem to be squandering an early season lead to get to the playoffs by the skin of their teeth, or needing to rely on another team to screw up worse than they did so that they can get in through the back door.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a sox fan and have been since '66, but I seem to detect a pattern here.

NY has more money, money buys depth, depth matters in the long run.

I am in aw how things go down hill so quickly. But,then,I realize I'm a Red Sox fan for 45 years. So I may not see another seires won by them in my life time.BUT,The Yankees still pulled the biggest choke in the history of Playoffs in baseball! And we did win the seires!! Im gonna savor that this the day I leave this earth!ThumbsupThumbsupThumbsup

A turn around is coming I can feel it. Two and a row, I have faith in my team and will never give up on them. I have Walley the Green Monster Hanging upside down in my living room over my TV.
Although they can be disappointing at times they can pull through some tough spots. Let's not forget being down four games and coming back and winning it all.
Although a different team this team has potential when everyone is feeling healthy again to be right back in it. From what I've seen on NESN some of the injuryed will be back soon. Those guys at the bottom of the order need to start swinging the bat instead of watching the third strike go by them.

not a fan of either, just love the rivalry. one team lets there stars go when they deserve longer contracts and bigger pay, and one that is willing to spend. still time, yanks aren't doing that great right now. five in a row at fenway, knocking the first place team out is a big thing, but they have another series and can pull it out still with some help. yanks aren't a lock yet, theres still time. last year i said it, and i say it again, MANNY-MVP.
