Sorry for the crummy pic, but I bumped into this guy after a fishing session on Saturday. This pic was taken from a parking lot for a tiny little wildlife preserve in an industrial park right by the Alewife station in Cambridge. The road in the background is the onramp to Route 2. I was surprised to see a deer, especially in the afternoon. I did see a great blue heron as well, but I'm never successful at getting pictures of those.

Sorry to have to post a link, but the image is too big right now. I'll try to resize it when my computer is being less screwy.

There's no longer a need to "Go West Young Man." We can now score while waiting for the "Red Line." Grinning1
Nice pic. Have never seen them in that area before. Thumbsup

I used to work at Wyeth about 5 years ago and we had a female turkey fly threw one of the 3rd story windows. It was the building accross from the Alewife T-stop. 35 Cambride Park Drive. Had to call Animal control, She lived but lost a bunch of feathers! You never know what's gonna show up in "Bean Town"...

WOW!Yikes My girlfriend was in southie earlier this year and saw a few turkeys. I've seen a few in some of the surrounding towns but none that close to the city. I bet that was startling!

I've seen deer on the side of 291 just past the Chicopee River bridge and also behind the Eastfield Mall
