Just read a report from an excited angler on Reel-Time about his first bluefin. The replies to his fishing report astonished me. Sites like these are supposed to be for sharing information with eachother, right. I understand some places are better off left unspoken about, but wow, a whole lotta a-holes over there. It is nice to be part of this site as it isn't cluttered with a bunch of egotistical S&*^HEADS. A gentleman posted over there about his first bluefin tuna he caught and revealed the location, everyone was in an uproar because he gave away what is pretty much common knowledge or knowledge that is easily obtained if you wanna know. check out this thread as they tear this guy a new one....

i mean i don't like to give away some secret honey holes IF i was to have any, but we are talking about the ocean, find a new place if you are so upset. I just hope nothing like this would ever happen on our site, someone posts info that he is excited to share and a bunch of grumpy bastards get upset.....wtfSmashhead MachineGun

Being a member of some great boards over the last five years I've seen this type of stuff occur. Its terrible, and alot of guys do stick up for that member in that forum. I know a couple of them from good experiences, and hope that they join here.

You guys have my promise to keep the site running smoothly. I am sure the rest of the Adminstration has the same feelings. If you ever run into a problem with someone pm the adminstrators or moderators and we will take care of the issue. We don't want to loose anyone to a few bad apples who can't get along with the rest of us.

Sites like this are meant for sharing, getting together, learning, and maybe catching/hunting a fish or animal that you never caught before or harvested. As more and more members increase we are probably gonna need more moderators. I am sure if you PM Jay with your interest he will probably be happy that your willing watch over the site while he isn't around.

Keep up the good work everyone so far so good.Thumbsup

Nice point Fisher. I was going to be asking around if any of our members wanted to become a mod soon since our member count is really going up.

that is to bad. Myself for the most part will tell where and how I fished excepted when IM asked not to like my post this morning my friends spot and he asked me no to spread it around he i didn't. I surf fish I have a few spots that parking is an issue I won't put it in the thread but if a few guys PM me I will give them the spot with a good explaination about repecting the people in the area so that it isn't shut down. That is one of the reason I like this site and ctfisherman . ThomT
