My printer's out of ink....AGAIN!!
I was wundrin' if anyone has used any of the cartridge refill services or kits, and what the results were. I'm gettin' tired of paying top dollar for
new ink cartridges(Dude, I got a Dell, and they are on the pricier end of the scale), but if the refills work, it'll only hurt for a little while.

They will cost you about $12.00 to get re-filled (PC Warehouse in W. Spfld). That's O.K., if you have a single cartridge design with the computer chip built in. In that case the replacement cost is very expensive and the re-fill is value added. However, if you have a printer with individual ink tanks and no computer chip, you may find it just as cheap to buy them new, retail - but by going online instead of locally for the best deal.
Here's another way out: buy a new printer! Seriously....I'm in the market and have been doing a lot of investigation on printers, as I print an awful lot of pictures. The new Kodak ESP All-In-One printers are inexpensive ($100. - 150.) and they use non-computer chip cartridges. The cost of the cartridges is between $10. - $15.00. They "claim" they will out last all other printer cartridges by at least 50%! And they use pigments instead of ink in their cartridges. The same kind of stuff the cave dwellers used! Consequently, they "say" that their photo quality will last a lifetime - with no chance of fading! Those are some pretty stiff claims. I'm hoping half of the hype is true! Smile1
Like I said, I'm shopping for one now, so I'll let you know how it performs, if & when I get it.
Joe, I've used the mail order refills in my business before I retired for my HP printers.....always worked out & saved a bunch of $$$$$$$.

Thumbsup Go for the AiO Cresty.......We've had one for over a year & it does an outstanding job on any task you may assign. Excellent results scanning in really old pics & documents. Super results printing pics, & software for any level of retouch you may want to try. Had a glitch when we first got it but they/Kodak responded quickly with a new print engine & a free set of cartridges for our trouble.
A definite Keeper!!!
