That pilot should be seriously recognized for what he did. To land a plane that size and not have it rip apart is unbelievable. I am sure it was a little luck but I guess he had some gliding experience.

Alquida is know claiming it was there birds!!!!

But in all seriousness, this was amazing and everyone did a great job during the rescue. Alot of things made this a success, the pilot "sully " flies glider planes as a hobby, the kid that a plane pulls you in the air and then your on your own, that had something to do with his controlled landing along with the fact that he owns a safety consultant buisness and teaches people how to be calm in stressful situations and the airbus and a button that when you push shuts down the fuelsalage...

Two years, in USA aviation, without a fatality! And with all the lay-offs and cut-backs. Thank good some of the old folks are still taking care of our skies. This ditching was really something! I'll still stick with trains. Wink1

One can only wonder what was going through all of thier minds.
Hat's off to the Pilot and the crew, and to the many passengers
who did thier best to help save everyone.

There where two pilots onboard that plane, Sully & God. Wink1

Good thing Bush is going to be ousted soon,or he would be sending troops to the Canadian border and shooting every goose that crossed the line. And sending out troops to any other country that harbors these birds.MachineGun MachineGun
