Rafting trip

Went our first rafting trip on the Hudson River " upstate". I have pictures but have to find a scanner to get them into my computer, the pictures will explain everything! The river was 7 feet above flood stage and we had all Class 4, with alot of Class 5 and a little Class 6.....Wow it was nuts, 8 foot drops, ragging white water......Great time...I will posts the pics soon and then you'll see what I mean!


Ok here's some pics.... I'm in the front right of the raft, my buddy Ron is next to me, we have the yellow helmets, by buddy Mark and Ty are behind us. In the first pic, look at all the guys faces, were about to go over a 8 foot water fall!!!!!!

Great pics. I love how in the first pic all the guys mouths are open because you said you are about to go off an 8 ft fall. The 2 girls in the back dont seem to thrilled but then in the next pic or 2 down that same girl looks like she is screaming her heart out. Great times. Glad you had a lot of fun.

I had the hardest time fly fishing off that thing Beerchug .


Those girls weren't having funYikes A few times they stopped paddling and fell off just because a horse fly was flying around, then a horse fly landed on ones helmet and the sister whomped her in the head with her paddle trying to kill it, and then a Bash1 broke out.....The guide was great, as the two were fighting he turned the boat so a wave would hit only them, and knock them off the raftLaughing1

Did that on the Dead up in MAine more years ago that I like to remember. I had a ball stiff and sore the next day but it was worth it. Anybody who wants to do a tamer trip you can do the upper Deerfield down threw the Zoar Gap. ThomT
