i have this great set up with tons of sign and the only thing i have seen every time is this young cow moose. neat to watch, but man scared all my deer away.

Wow! That must have been exciting. I've never seen one in the woods.
I wonder how long it will be before this state allows a limited hunt?

Yeah amherst. Have seen that moose every time i was in the stand pretty cool to watch, but boy are they dumb

Nice Trophy, I have three where we hunt. See them all the time, and yes they do scare the deer away.
I'm surpised that calf is walking by himself, usually the bull, and cow are close by. Well thats what I've seen in the past and the was he making any sounds.
Great pic's wish I had my encounter on film it was nerve racking.

Me and my dad have had to stop hunting due to to moose following us out here in Barre. one year we had a huge bull come litteraly 5 feet from us and smell us, then he grunted and slowly went about his buisness. i have also had them come close in the Barre Falls Area while bird hunting. i think a moose hunt is closer in the future then most of you think. i know the hurd in Central MA and north central are thriveing.

i saw three moose the other day from my stand. there has been a lot of moose seen in central ma this bow season

I have had the opportunity to eat moose and it tasted great. Tastes a whole lot better than deer in my opinion
